Cornell Cooperative Extension

MCRA is the county’s only free, one-on-one, Adult Basic Education, English as a Second Language and preparation for a high school equivalency diploma. Adults who wants to better themselves and improve job skills can contact the Program Director Tara Truett at firstname.lastname@example.org. A tutor and materials will be provided; the nearest library will offer space to meet and sessions will be individualized to suit each client.
The Imagination Library provides free books for children from birth to five. High quality, age appropriate books are mailed to the child’s home every month. This successful initiative reaches every part of the county. We use the local libraries to service the area of their local school district. Families can register by filling out the form available here (click here) or at their local public library (in Munnsville, Madison, Brookfield and South Otselic–go to the school’s main office.)
Our greatest support has come from a local family:
Another major supporter has been the Gorman Foundation which, beside numerous grants has generously provided office space in their state of the art Gorman Foundation Community Center. Finally, a steady supporter for many years has been Hamilton’s William R. McNeice III Foundation.
