The governance model for the Literacy Coalition of Madison County NY, as selected by the community, is shown above. A consortium of organizations provides the governance and leadership of the coalition. The leadership, or Managing Partners, includes persons from government, schools, literacy providers, higher education, early childcare providers, libraries, faith community, foundations, etc. to represent the full diversity of the county.
Besides their Standing Committee duties, Managing Partners sit on Action Teams, along with other members of the Coalition and community, to implement the high priority strategies developed by the community and documented in the county’s literacy plan.
