Have you thought about becoming a tutor and helping someone obtain their high school equivalency? Madison County Reads Ahead coordinates one-to-one tutoring in several Madison County libraries. Literacy volunteers help adult students reach goals in Adult Basic Education, English as a Second Language and high school equivalency preparation. A commitment of 3 hours once a week at the Madison County library of your choice is required. Resources and continued training are provided on an on-going basis from a local literacy coordinator. Please contact Tara Truett by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 315-345-1468, if you would like to join in this opportunity to learn, serve and grow in your community.
